After the first organization scaffold, Checkout starts one subscription with both recurring items. Adding or removing organizations and bots reconciles Stripe quantities with proration. Stripe Customer Portal remains the source for payment methods and invoices.

What happens when payment needs attention?
- Your first organization can scaffold during the activation window before Checkout is complete.
- During payment recovery, reads, pairing, snapshots, the portal, and independently running bots continue.
- After the recovery grace, count-increasing commands become read-only until Stripe reports payment recovered.
